Pediarix = DTaP + IPV + HepB combination vaccine
DTaP = Diphtheria (an upper respiratory infection that can lead to nervous system deterioration),
              Tetanus (causes lockjaw and severe muscle spasms)
               Pertussis (causes whooping cough which causes severe coughing fits & difficulty breathing in babies)
IPV = Polio (a viral illness that can lead to lifelong crippling and paralysis)
HepB = Hepatitis B (a chronic lifelong disease that causes inflammation of the liver)
Hib = Haemophilus Influenza B (causes ear infections, epiglottitis, meningitis in babies)
PCV = Pneumococcal Pneumonia (causes pneumonia, ear infections, meningitis in babies)
Rotarix = Rotavirus (causes prolonged vomiting and diarrhea in babies)
HepA = Hepatitis A (foodborn virus that can cause severe transient hepatitis in children and adults)
MMR = Measles (usually causes rash & cold symptoms, but can lead to pneumonia & encephalitis)
              Mumps (large, painful swollen glands and can cause testicular swelling and sterility in boys)
              Rubella (rash and joint aches, causes severe birth defects and disease in newborns)
VZV = Varicella Zoster (chickenpox and shingles, causes severe birth defects in babies of pregnant women)
Tdap = Tetanus booster with diphtheria and pertussis (see above)
Menactra = Meningococcal meningitis (causes severe inflammation of brain and spinal tissue and death)
HPV = Human Papilloma Virus (one of the major causes of cervical cancer in adult women)
